Leaders of blocs agree to achieve full sovereignty of Iraq and apply the terms of the security agreement

Publicly and government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh, an agreement the leaders during their meeting yesterday on the need for the training of Iraqi troops and complete the processing as soon as possible.

Dabbagh said in a statement issued last night: that the leaders of political blocs gathered at the invitation of President Jalal Talabani to discuss the training of Iraqi forces assisted the U.S. side and on the basis of the approaching end of the security agreement by the end of 2011 between Iraq and the United States of America and the consensus of the parties to achieve full sovereignty for Iraq.

Dabbagh said in his statement to the consensus of the leaders of political blocs on the need to support efforts by the Iraqi government and its discussions on this matter, and their agreement not to grant immunity for trainers.

Dabbagh said the proposed training must be conducted on Iraqi installations only if training is envisaged must be designed to ensure that the Iraqi armed forces will be professional and professional in all its different forms, and works under the Constitution and is able to deter any threat against the security of
Iraq’s internal and external, to maintain the integrity of its territory and waters and skies, and its constitutional democracy.

To the same effect, Deputy Prime Minister Nuri al-Rose Shaways the political blocs agreed not to grant any immunity for the Americans trained.

Shaways said during its review of the final statement for the meeting of leaders of political blocs yesterday evening: “The need for trained Iraqi forces, the Americans will be without any immunity.”

He added it was agreed to achieve full sovereignty of Iraq and apply the terms of the security agreement and the emphasis on moving forward in the training of Iraqi forces and not to grant any immunity for trainers.
