Fatlawi: not finishing report of legal committee about SPC behind the delay of the second reading

Baghdad (NINA) – Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee and member of the Citizen Bloc, Hassoun Al Fatlawi, said “not finishing the report of the legal committee about the Strategic Policies Council is behind the parliament’s delay of the second reading of that law.”

In a statement to NINA today, Fatlawi said “the bylaw of the Committee asserts the necessity of submission of the report about any law before the second reading.”

“The committee will make amendments to the law that contradicts the constitution before submitting it to the second reading,” he added.

Currently, differences between the Iraqiya Slate and the National Alliance taking place about the Erbil agreement including the SPC. At a time IS insists on forming the council presided by Dr. Iyad Allawi as it is its right according to the Erbil agreement, the NA objects to its formation and says it contradicts with the constitution. /End/
